This policy explains how FUTURE YOUTH GLOBAL NETWORK EVENT - FZCO ("FYGN") uses cookies on fygn.org. Read it with our Privacy Notice.
The short version
We set functional cookies only. Our website analytics sets no cookies at all, and there are no advertising cookies and no advertising trackers on this site, which is why you do not see a cookie banner: nothing optional is stored on your device, so there is nothing to consent to. We do not use cookies to sell your data or to serve advertising.
The cookies we set
- Sign-in session cookies (set by our authentication provider, Supabase). Keep you signed in securely after you use your magic link. Who gets it: Anyone who signs in.
- Staff cookies (admin session and interface preferences). Sign-in and display settings for FYGN staff tools. Who gets it: FYGN staff only.
- Preview cookie. Lets our team view unpublished pages. Who gets it: FYGN staff only.
Analytics without cookies
We measure how the site is used with Umami, an analytics service hosted in the European Union. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so nothing above changes: there is no analytics cookie here for you to accept or refuse.
Umami records the page you opened, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored: it becomes a code that is regenerated at the start of each month and cannot be traced back to you or to your account. We use this to count visits and see which pages get read, and for nothing else. Our Privacy Notice sets out the detail.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookies will stop your account, applications and the community from working.
If this ever changes
If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie, or analytics that stores or reads something on your device, we will ask for your consent before setting it and update this policy first.
